Who this review is for
This consultation is for an employee who has received a German employment contract, amendment or home-office agreement; or for a small employer preparing an individual arrangement. It is most useful before signature, while the wording can still be discussed. Existing agreements can also be reviewed when daily practice no longer matches the text.
What we examine
We read the document in advance and mark the clauses that shape the working relationship. The review considers:
- whether the agreed workplace is the home address, an employer site, or a flexible location;
- attendance requirements, notice periods and who pays travel costs;
- working time records, availability windows, rest periods and overtime wording;
- provision, return and permitted use of laptops, screens and other equipment;
- internet, electricity, travel and home-office expense arrangements;
- occupational safety, data protection and access to the home workspace;
- how either side may suspend or end remote work;
- whether working temporarily from another country requires separate tax, social-security or immigration advice.
What you receive
The fee includes up to 20 pages of relevant material reviewed before the call, a 60-minute private video consultation, and a written action note within two working days. The note records unclear terms, questions to put to the other party and practical changes discussed during the session.
The consultation does not include negotiation with the employer or employee, drafting a complete employment contract, representation in a dispute, tax calculations or immigration advice. If one of those issues is decisive, we will identify the boundary early.
How the appointment works
- Send the current draft. After requesting an appointment, you receive a secure document-submission instruction. Please remove unrelated sensitive records.
- Describe the intended routine. Tell us how often you expect to attend the workplace, where you plan to work and whether another country is involved.
- Meet online. We compare the written terms with that routine, explain the points that merit attention and answer questions within scope.
- Use the action note. You receive a concise summary for your own discussion with the other party.
Preparation and limits
Documents should arrive at least two working days before the appointment. Material beyond 20 pages may require a larger-scope quote. German- and English-language clauses are accepted. Where deadlines are already running in a termination or court matter, contact a qualified employment-law firm immediately rather than relying on a general review.
